Position Summary
Provides complex support services to faculty, staff and students concerning instructional technologies, American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, district supported software, learning management system (LMS) and engagement strategies to ensure learning materials are in compliance with laws and regulations, institutional policies and best practices.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience with the daily operation of an assigned unit or organization and serves as a professional consultant knowledgeable in a specific discipline, profession or industry. The ability to plan and maintain work systems, follow processes and policies that enable and encourage the unit to meet the organizational objectives. Must have specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job to include: planning and managing task assignments; preparing and maintaining accurate records; operating standard office equipment; utilizing relevant software applications; facilitating meetings and projects. The ability to understand new emerging trends in area(s) of expertise and prepare for changes that may occur because of these trends. The ability to interact and work with individuals in a multi-cultural environment and welcome diversity within the organization. Able to work independently and be a strong effective team player, committed to delivering timely results; with excellent organizational skills and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Ability to research and proposes new methodologies and technologies to enhance the work-flow process. The ability to respond to written and verbal inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources for the purpose of resolving problems, providing information and/or referring to the appropriate personnel and/or identifying the relevant issues and recommending a remediation plan. The ability to choose effective and appropriate communication and communicate in a respectful tone and manner, listen actively, writing clearly and accurately in a variety of contexts and formats and recognize cultural differences when communicating in a diverse environment. Must have excellent customer service skills.

Minimum Knowledge and Experience
Associates degree plus three (3) years of related work experience. Official transcripts are required. Must have valid driver’s license for off-site travel. On-call, work hours may extend beyond the regular, eight hours, Monday-Friday, workday, including weekends and holidays to provide immediate support due to system failures on a 24/7 basis. *** Will be subject to a criminal background check. Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check. ***

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serves as a technical resource to students, faculty and staff regarding technology related to instructional technology.  Provides analytical support for instructional methods or guidelines to assess effectiveness and efficiency of instruction.  Analyze performance data to determine effectiveness of instructional system, courses or instructional materials.  Research innovative methods and emerging instructional technologies as it relates to best practices in technological changes in the industry and applying new knowledge to job as applicable.  Provides advice and assistance to stakeholder and constituents; troubleshoot complex problems; and provide support in a manner that minimizes interruptions in critical business activities.  Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.  Supports ADA compliance initiatives which include use of assistive computer technologies, researching best practices, and evaluating selected content for compliance.  Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with internal/external stakeholders and constituents in a diverse DCCCD community network environment.  Serves as a resource in the area of accessible technology to faculty, staff and students.  Assist with the conversion of instructional materials into alternative accessible media formats.  Performs a variety of technical tasks related to adaptive computing needs on a variety of hardware and software platforms.  Deliver one-on-one support for faculty on topics related to instructional technology to enhance the student learning experience.  Responsible for creating and updating documentation, maintain complete and accurate records and develop meaningful reports.  Review, validate and standardize problem resolutions for inclusion in the problem resolution database.  Maintains an understanding of learning principles and applies them to the development and delivery of the learning experience.  Utilizes strong organizational skills and attention to detail to meets deadlines in a time-sensitive, fast-paced work environment prioritizing projects, assignments and deliverables.  Strong interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills, using multiple forms of training methodologies.  Communicates and expresses ideas effectively both orally and in writing with individuals from diverse backgrounds within the DCCCD community network.  Provides excellent customer service.  Completes required DCCCD Professional Development training hours per academic year.  Performs other duties as assigned.
