Position Summary
A hands-on role playing a key part in the upcoming multi-year, multi-million dollar ERP implementation. This position is responsible for Identifying and documenting work flow processes or integration work streams at an appropriate level of detail and in a consistent format across departments streamline existing processes to increase process efficiency and to educate stakeholders and constituents on Business Process terminology, modeling, symbols, and workflow process documentation.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to lead teams in the delivery of project(s) that span across one or more business units.  Ability to manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to control guidelines throughout the system development life cycle.  Ability to manage issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.  Able to contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.  Ability to research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results.  Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.  Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.  Experience managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources.  Ability to coordinate projects on a day-to-day basis.  Able to build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives.  Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.  Supports diverse and inclusive work environments.  Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities.  Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.  Ability to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross-functional environment.  Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.  Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.  Ability to explain technical information to individuals with varying levels of technical knowledge.  Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.  Able to provide exemplary customer service.

Minimum Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher plus five (5) years of relevant experience applying established workflows to ERP software solutions such as Colleague, Banner, or other ERP systems.  Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.  Official transcript/certification required.  Must have valid Texas driver’s license for off-site travel.  *** Will be subject to a criminal background check.  Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check. ***

Preferred Skills and Requirements

  • Candidate should have experience as Project Manager.  
  • 7 - 10 years of relevant experience in preparing business process documentation and workflows preferable with higher education or public sector experience.
  • 7 - 10 years of relevant experience with applying established workflows to ERP software solutions such as Colleague, Banner, or other ERP systems.
  • Candidate should provide work samples (PPT, Documents, Screenshots, etc.) related to previous work experience
  • 2 - 5 years of PMO environment experience

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for identifying and documenting existing workflow activities/tasks in order to streamline processes to increase efficiency and develop a consistent workflow format that can be used with the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system across departments.  Partner with internal and external staff, systems architect, project and support teams to guide business and technical process mapping and modeling.  Complies with organizational and DCCCD policies, procedures, and standards to ensure proper administration of activities.  Keeps current on best practices and technological trends through professional development activities.  Collaborates with clients to understand their business needs and requirements related to ERP, performs analysis of organization, and designs processes and models.  Coordinates with implementation team to develop and refine logistics.  Recommends changes in business processes to align with best practices.  Facilitates the design/re-design of business processes including identifying and resolving issues and assisting in the change management process to attain the highest levels of customer service, efficiency, control and compliance.  Builds and maintains effective working relationships with diverse members of the DCCCD network community to ensure business objectives are met.  Collaborates with vendors to drive project completion and to ensure that customer business needs are effectively translated into application and operational requirements.  Collect data, define requirements, analyze, validate, and develop business processes for ERP implementation.  Identify gateways that could change the path of the process depending on conditions or events and other pertinent information related to processing mapping, i.e., participants, tasks/activities, etc.  Hold debrief meetings with stakeholders and constituents and submit draft workflows, as each process is complete, for review and approval.  Facilitates workshops and training sessions.  Utilizes excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact, persuade and/or influence diverse stakeholders and constituents on matters of a technical and/or complex nature.  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.  Provides excellent customer service.  Must complete required DCCCD Professional Development training hours per academic year.  Performs other duties as assigned.
