Provides leadership in planning, development and management of the location compensation/payroll, benefits and employment services for the location.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to interpret and apply administrative and department policies, regulations, and rules. Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports and communicate with others. Requires demonstrated oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong knowledge and experience providing effective customer service. Assist with the planning of employee projects and events.
Resolve complex, moderate-risk employee relations issues. Escalate these to senior team members as appropriate.
Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
Must be willing to travel in county and in state and possibly out of state.
Works with light, easy to handle materials requiring little physical effort.
Minimum Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher plus five years of human resources experience, including two years of supervisory experience or Associate’s degree plus seven years of human resources experience including two years of supervisory experience. Official transcripts will be required. ***Will be subject to a criminal background check. Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check.***
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plans, coordinates and develops timelines for location human resource functions such as employment, orientation, compensation, worker’s compensation, and benefit programs. Audits and verifies calculations on special employment agreement contracts and job changes; assist Director in reviewing employment applications for minimum requirements for location vacancies. Confirms the accuracy and timely processing of all compensation/payroll and benefits for college employees. Provides assistance to supervisors and employees in understanding human resources
policies, procedures and operational guidelines. Researches problems and recommends solutions through appropriate location and District channels. Responds to internal and external request for information which may include researching and analyzing data from files and records. Prepares College agenda items for submission to the Board of trustees for review and approval; researches items and ensures accuracy. Prepares oral and written presentations related to payroll processing and benefits. Performs designated duties of the Director in his/her absence. Supervision: Responsible for selection, training, coaching, evaluation and development of assigned staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
