A non-teaching position that assists full-time and part-time instructors in the illustration and reinforcement of class lecture material. Develops and administers lab exercises/experiments (varying by program area/discipline) which assist to reinforce and illustrate instructor lectures and meet course objectives through practical experience. Works closely with students and faculty in lab settings or in electronic formats, which require advanced oral and written communication skills and knowledge in the subject area(s) assigned.

Instructional Specialist -Teaching (Veterans Upward Bound) Eastfield
Responsible for providing an instructional program designed to assist teachers with developing skills in the preparation of effective learning (lesson) plans, presentation of content, classroom management, and school and community communications. Preferred: Master’s degree or higher in the related field and one year of teaching experience. Demonstrated experience and skills in successfully working with diverse populations.
Tutor I (Library) Eastfield
Provides individual and group tutoring in support of intermediate instructional programs. May participate in developing tutoring resource materials. Tutoring Services utilizes a drop-in, open lab tutoring model. Tutoring experience is a plus. Transcripts and resume required.
Tutor I (STEM) Eastfield
Provides individual and group tutoring in support of intermediate instructional programs. May participate in developing tutoring resource materials. Maintains records of students tutored as required under department guidelines. Provide input in developing and maintaining resource materials needed to demonstrate learning objectives for use in tutoring environment.
Tutor III Eastfield
Provides advanced individual and group tutoring services in an open lab and/or one-on-one setting in support of advanced instructional programs. Participates in training and evaluating other tutors and assists in the creation of tutoring resources and materials as required.
